I have a 2002 Explorer Limited 4x4 and tonight i was on interstate for about 10min and the "transmission overheating" came on and then about 5min later "check transmission" came on and stayed on. after the "check transmission" came on is started to slip and shifted really hard from 1st to 2nd. 2nd to 3rd seemed mostly normal. I am going to check fluid tomorrow, is there any known problems that it also could be? or could it even be just low on fluid causing it to slip??
