Seen this a lot on here and no answers so I thought I'd offer some help if anyone had this problem. This happened years ago on my 94. I no longer own that truck but i now have 3 3rd gens. So this is for you 1st gen guys. Truck runs fine, you're driving along and you lose the transmission out of nowhere. You push the throttle and the engine revs but you get nothing to the wheels. Shift lever works and feels normal, no sound, no smoke. There's a vacuum line that runs down the passenger side and connects to the transmission just behind the catalytic converter that sometimes will randomly disconnect itself. It sends vacuum to the vacuum modulator iirc. If it disconnects, your transmission just stops working. It happened on mine multiple times. After I figured out what it was, I just got out, reconnected it and went on my way. I can't remember how I figured it out, but I hope this helps someone.
