Transmission Swaps

So I think I found a cheap explorer to fix up with the parts from my totaled 2001 Explorer Sport. i found a 1998 Explorer with low miles and a bad transmission. If its a automatic and 4.0 like my sport, can i do a trans swap? Are they the same trans? Will i need to do anything with the computers? Thanks guys and girls

It should work just fine, just verify that all of the sensors on the 98 trans are present on the 01. depending on build date the 01 may have an extra sensor, just disregard that one as the rest of them are the same
