Transmission Won’t Move

So in my 96 Explorer with the 4.0 4wd, I Tried putting it in every gear and it doesn’t budge, there is no check engine light on and it has 246k miles on it but I was wondering if there is a quick fix for it or I’ll need to find a transmission, and if I need one where would be the cheapest place to find one, thanks

Did you check the fluid level?

What he said.....If the fluid gets too low it wont move

did you ever get this figured out cause I'm having the same issue and yes my fluid level is good. I felt a pop right when the trans stopped working.

Did you see if the linkage popped off?
