Trying a Recon Winch

So the cover does not stay on too well over 45 mph. Am I missing something?

IMO there should ba a draw string device , but this is just a neoprene sleeve. It works good while sitting still, maybe it is just for storage?

Neoprene doesnt seem to handle prolonged exposure to sunlight to well. Maybe there's a new product for Zukmam to consider making?

When I first saw the cover that came with the winch, I didn't like it. And of course, Sue came to the rescue!!!
The cover stayed in place while moving, I think the highest speed I got while it was on the winch was around 60-65.

so whats the verdict on the winches? any good? saw they have a 12500 one with steel cable for $275

I forgot to put pictures in here. I got the recon winch mounted up

We used it to pull down some trees this summer. It worked great. We had to "winch down" some heavy limbs using the snatch block and clevis trick, but failed to capture that on video.
