Trying to find which wires to tap into for lights

I am installing a set of streetglow (optix) running board / puddle lights on my 08. I need to know the best place to find the wiring in order to tap into the vehicle's harness somewhere for the power feeds for the parking lights and for the puddle lights. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

IMHO, start under the hood, either trace the wire back form the parking lights or start probing wires in the harness going toward the front of the vehicle.

The best way to make the connection is soldering but the Wire Tap will work just wrap it up in black rubber tape or use the liquid rubber tape.

it may not hurt to use a small amperage fuse on the line either.

Thanks. I think what I'm going to do is run the lead for the parking lights back to the trailer wiring harness and tap in there. For the puddle lights, I imagine that finding the wire on the passenger's side behind the foot kick panel will be the easiest since trying to find it under the hood would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
