tube size for brake bleeder fitting

I always seem to have a hard time finding a tube that fits right. The universal kits sold at all the parts stores are always too small. I'd like to get the right size hose tonight so i'll be ready this weekend.

Anyone here know what size ill need to fit on the brake bleeder fittings?

Not sure what the actual size is, but the tubing they market for windshield washers fits snug and secure.

1/4" I.D. works fine. 3/16" also, but will be very snug. Bleeder screw thread size is 3/8"-24.
