Turn signal flasher relay

I would be checking grounds on my truck connector first.

Neighbors truck connected it works.

Rules out the trailer.

Tail lights work but turn and stop don't.

Tail and stop are the same bulb and need more current to run.

A funky ground will drive you nuts...

I'm willing to buy a new relay switch as a process of elimination. Can anyone advise where it is under dash? Am I blind? I can hear it, panel off, can't see it or feel it when reaching in.

There is no relay flasher.

Folks, little help? Trying to find the flasher relay. Under dash panel off, I can hear it, I can't find it !! I need to replace it. Still works but not when my boat trailer is hooked up. Please and thank you !
Do you still have the '07 Sport Trac? If not, please update your profile or add the 2012 to a signature so members will know what you have. Thank you.
Jason is correct. There is no physical relay for the signal lights. Electronic Flasher for LED Upgrade

I've updated profile to Explorer. So the flasher switch "sound" is actually coming from the
BCM?

Have you tried the 7pin instead of 4 pin to see if it works properly? If not, I'd grab a 4 to 7 pin adapter and see if it works, if so, it is a wiring issue on the 4pin on the vehicle.

Great suggestion! I will try that next. Thank you

Welcome.. may not be it but I do know those 4 pins are very unreliable compared to the 7 pin. I always convert my trailers to 7 pin.

Fuse/Relay 70, the fuse box under the hood:
"Trailer tow left-hand and right-hand stop and direction indicator lamps."

Not sure if that's the trick you're looking for or not. But the others are right--there really is no "flasher relay," as one might expect. The BCM handles that.

That's from my 2017--your 2012 may vary.

Happy 4th. I'm striking out. Fuse/Relay is good under hood. I tried 7 pin connector with a built in test light as part of the connector. Tail light test light comes on, brake lights/turn signal test light does not. Which leads me to believe it's the BCM. All in favor? Not sure there's anything else to check.

Just double checking...you checked fuse 63 in the BJB (under the hood)

It's rare--exceedingly that a BCM is bad.

If after Jason's check that doesn't work, I'd pull codes--sometimes the BCM will shut down an output as a circuit protection strategy if it sees something that it doesn't like.
