Turn Signal Lights problem

OK so my 01 ford explorer xlt turn signal lights only work when the running lights or headlights are not engaged what is the problem with that please help thanks mike

Hi Mike,
You might try checking the "Multifunction Switch" as all those lighting functions go threw it and the switches are problematic that is how they came to be referred to as the"Malfunction Switch"
