1998 Explorer XLT
Hi.. have '98 Explorer XLT. All of the sudden the turn signals don't work. No flash indication Left or Right on the control panel. No lights Left or Right front or back. Everything else works electrically, including hazard flashers. Can't find anything in the manual that would suggest this is fuse related. And no fuses appear to be blown. Any idea what this could be? I did a search and bad turn signal switch (located on steering column I assume) comes up.
Thanks

Thats what it sounds like to me. Multifunction switch.
About $60 at the Ford dealers and about 1/2 hour to change.
Welcome to the club.

Thanks... 1/2 to change by someone who knows what they're doing of course

Thanks for the info. everyone, much appreciated. One other thing.. multi###tion switch because it deals with wipers, high beam flash, etc. These other functions governed by this switch seem fine. Wouldn't they be taken out of commission as well if it is a bad switch... not just the turn signals??
