i was just wondering where everyone put there tweeters if you have a component stereo, i am gonna put my 5.25's in my doors and kinda wanted to know where the best placement for the tweeters would be? i was thinking the kick pannels, any good ideas?
I would put them in the plastic trim on the A pillers (the part that goes from the dash and goes above the door. If you put them there you'll get the most amount of sound to your ear. That's what I would do.

component sets or any high/mid range speaker should be mounted with a straight aim to your ear (obvioulsy). But also the right and left speaker should be the same distance from your ears. So the #1 choice would be the speaker pods that mount on the kick panel on the floor. Then either the beam described above or the small open triangle on the door molding on top right (driver's side) top left (passenger).

I would agree with those who mounted their tweeters up high. Bass sounds fine bouncing off your Levi's but a tweeter needs and unobstructed shot at your ear. I mounted mine on the triangle on the inside of the side view mirrors. The advantage to this position is that you can use the pod mounts (if your speakers come with them. Boston's do.) And attach them with the factory trim screw in that location. Then if you want to sell the vehicle there isn't a gaping hole in the door.
Good luck!
