There is a hose that is mounted on the driver side shock tower. I have a 1997 Explorer 5.0L AWD. Can not tell what type of fluid is coming out of it. Tried to trace but it runs under a bunch of other stuff. I am guessing it could be the vent tube for the front diff. If anyone knows what it is for let me know.
Thanks in addvance.

Yes it is the vent tube for front diff.

Does anyone know where the upper end of this hose should mount? Mine just kind of flaps in the breeze.

anywhere that's convenient as long as it's higher than the diff.

Sometimes on the shock tower, drivers side.

Thanks. Now I've got something to do this weekend. After the other four things.
