Unknown Module on Auto Dimming Mirror

I went to the junk yard yesterday and pulled an auto dimming mirror out of either a Sable or an Explorer (can't remember which one it was). It's a Gentex GNTX-187. The mirror has a module located at the base of where the mirror mounts to the windshield. The mirror itself has a three wire harness (power, ground, & reverse), but the module has a separate four wire harness which don't share any wires with the mirror. I found a post where someone mentions a compass module with a reset button on top (this module does have the button), however the mirror doesn't have the compass option and since none of the wires from the module return to the mirror, I don't it having anything to do with the mirror. Anyone have any idea what the module is?

You might be able to figure it out if you could get a schematic diagram. Check Autozone's website for more information.
