AHAHA this should work
go to this link and you will see my three pictures

Dead Link Removed

I don't think I would ever want to go as low as the last pick, but I might get some 20'' rims to make it look lower.

Thanks for your time

tell me what you think!

wait... do you have 2 explorers or is that the same one? i like the lowered one better. needs rims though.

i am actually a fan of lifting but that lowered one is pimp

Its the same X, i just modified it with my computer, I agree I need to slap some diffrent rims on the lower one

well i dont know. if it were me i would lower it but not that much. maybe 2 inches and put some 18" chrome rims on there. a grille guard some clear lenses etc....
but thats just me. i dont know how much you like 4-wheeling. it depends on your hobbies i guess.

if you do any offroading, lift it.
personally i prefer the lowered street look.

Since you have a 4wd you have one choice with out losing the 4wd.

LIFT

I agree with Kris, if you want to lower it, sell it to someone who want's a 4wd and go find a 2wd. If you don't want to sell it you only have one choise LIFT IT!

Raised

Raise it!

Why drop a 4x4?

Buy a 2wd to lower it.

Raise it up, get rid of those side skirts, sliders are ok though.
Remove that front under bumper valance for better approach angles and looks

Duff 3" lift.....

how about you conbine the 2? I think the paint color bumper and clear lenses would look good on the lifted concept.. thats what I think you should do..

Where are you gonna drive it most?

On the road = lower

Off road = raise

Looks good either way though....

Ive always said, if you want a lowered X, get a station wagon...

i like it lifted, but i like it better lowered.

Wilson I am a big fan of lowered sport trucks, but yours looks extremely lowered. Since your truck is a 4x4, my suggestion is lift it. Your truck looks awesome when lifted. Put in some rims and tires like the one in RangerX's Ranger and you have a killer truck.

That lowered one looks tight. It could use rims, but either way very pimp. I prefer the lifted one, and since you have a 4x4, it'll be tough to lower it beyond a few inches. The first-generation X's like to be higher than lower it seems.

I say lower it, we need more street x's.

I don't get how these guys say if you want it lowered go find a 2wd. Who the f*c* has time to sell there 4x4 and then FIND a rare 2wd explorer. Work with what you got.

Newbz,

It is not that you cant lower a 4x4 but it is a lot harder to lower a 4x4 than a 2wd, and when you do lower a 4wd you have to take out the dana 35 and replace it with a 2wd front suspention. If you lower a pre 94 Explorer 4x4 you will lose 4wd al together. It is not an Easy task.

I say bigger is better...
