UPDATE: 1997 Explorer problem...

pulled the connector on the back of the tcase and cleaned it and reinstalled and the blinking dash light problem stopped, so i thought i had everything fixed now.. WRONG, now its stuck in 4wd again and no matter how much i mess with it it doesnt come out.. WTF is wrong with this thing...

unhook the battery for a few minutes, and than hook it back up, that way the ECM has a chance to start over again, it might fix it ,
