I recently bought a in-dash 6 CD player that was out of a 2002 Mustang GT - part number 2R3T-18C815-BA - and am planning to replace the base system (AM/FM/Single CD) in my wife's 2002 Explorer XLT. The in-dash 6 CD is out of a Mach460 system in the Mustang.
I'm also planning to add a factory sub and replace the speakers.
Questions:
1. Since I haven't taken out the current HU, will I need a wiring harness adapter to install the in-dash 6 CD? If so, any recommendations or p/n's?
2. Although it didn't come with a factory sub, is there wiring already going back to where the sub should install? I noticed on an 03 model, the sub is in the right passenger rear.
Any help/insight would be very much appreciated!!
Thanks....
