What is a fair price to change these out on my 98 4.0 sohc? I am thinking I got raped, $190 to put them both in...
 






book time for upper and lower intake manifold gasket R&R is 2.6 hours + gaskets. multiply that by their labor rate. would equal about $70 per hour.
 






Ok well good to know, I didn't get poked then. He's like $65 an hour I believe. At least the rig runs better now.
 






$190 sounds about right for an independent mechanic. I'd do it for $200 even. :)

Figure almost twice that at a stealership...
