Stumped here. My upper radiator hose is hot, but the lower hose is cold. I have heat in the cabin, and the temp gage is in the usual spot.

Its been really cold here, around 5 degrees F at night, warming to teens/20s during the day.

Am I frozen up?

how long have you run it and its still cold?

About 15-20 minutes. Squeezing the lower hose reveals something hard on the inside. I'm assuming its the non-collapsing support.

15-20min of idle in cold weather may not be enough to make the T-stat open.. i lived in upsate NY and when it was around 5 or 0 it takes a while to warm up. have you always put 50/50 coolant in? if so you are good down to like -30 to -40 *F so you are not frozen.

i would go for a short 5-10min drive and make sure you get on it some and then let it idle some more at home and then see if it warms up.
