These can effect the idle if they are old and hardened or damaged when the manifold is moved.
The ones most likely to be bad is the lower intake gaskets that sit between the lower manifold and the heads.
If you plan to change upper and lower gaskets with Dealer parts it may be worth getting the 00m12 kit which has these but also has a hydraulic tensioner and restrictor pencil all for only a few quid more. FYI the tensioner on its own usually costs more than the kit, go figure
