hey all-

been reading thru the old posts about torsion bars, and i learned that there are different ratings for the t-bars, some being stiffer than others.

my X rides pretty damn rough, even after shocks were replaced. i know it is on the rough side because we drive X Sports here as a company vehicle, and mine is quite noticably stiffer.

i checked my door sticker, and it looks like I have the "H" spring.. I've heard "L" is the softest... If I simply switched to "L" t-bars, and did nothing else, would i get a softer ride as a result? my X will probably stay at stock height, so i'm not concerned about which bars are better for lifts/drops.

any input appreciated, thanks!!!!

No, you would never notice.

I don't think they actually had an L torsion bar rating. The rear leafs come in L, and those are the mono-"major sag"-leafs. Which letter are you using for the bar rating? First or second?

H is a spring rating, i have them on my '95 LTD. it also has the L rated T-bars.

all soft stuff to work w/ the ARC.
