using rubberized undercoating on doors...question

To those of you who have done this
1. did you spray the back side of the door PANELS, or the the acutal door itself with the plastic stuff on it?

also if you sprayed the back of the door PANEL, did you remove the insulation/padding type stuff on teh back side of the door or just spray right over it?

any help will be greatly appreciated.

i did something like this, but still different, i coated my dashboard in a few coats of plasti-dip, yeah, the same stuff they use for tool handles... its also available in an aerosol can....
 






You have to spray the actual door itself (metal part). The backside of the outside. I hope that makes sense.
 






whatever you do, don't get the wallmart cheapo coating, it tends to smell on hotter days in the summer.
