The rear (yes, rear. I know for a fact it is the rear) Timing chain tensioner has finally fallen apart on my OHC V6, and the cost to repair is going to be $1200.
simple enough, but I still owe a grand on the vehicle, and can't afford pretty much anything.. at this point, it seems I'm financially paralyzed...
So what do I do?
Attempt to find a different motor from a junk yard? Maybe a 5.0 swap or an OHV motor?
Suck it up and try to find the money for a repair?
Get as much as I can for the X as a trade-in on something that *won't* fall apart?
I'm out of ideas, this isn't a fun place to be... any suggestions are helpful ones.
