I belive mine is leaking passenger side (which i understand is common) either that or the egr pipe. anywho is this a everyday 5.0 gasket or is it different because of the gt-40 heads. its a late 98 which i hear is the "P" heads? I was thinking of using a more $$ set of dead soft aluminum gaskets from summit or something unless anyone has input....

TIA

The gaskets appear to be normal. As far as I know it's only the spark plug angle that's different that causes header issues. I purchased a set of non GTP headers to test fit on my motor (2000 explorer with GTP heads) and the supplied gaskets worked perfectly, can't say much the same for the headers LOL.

I'd say get the gaskets and locking bolts from Jegs.

The following items were purchased:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Item# = 760-66014
Description = Percy's ''Dead Soft'' Header Gaskets
SB-Ford Square
Qty/Price = 1 at $34.99 = $34.99
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Item# = 868-8913
Description = Stage-8 Locking Header Bolts
SB-Ford, 3/8-16 x 3/4'', (16/pkg)
Qty/Price = 1 at $41.99 = $41.99
