V8 metal fan blade vs V6 plastic fan blade

Has anyone already attempted a replacement of the plastic fan blade ('99+ V6 Explorer) with a V8 metal fan blade ('96 - '98 Explorer)?

What's the main difference between these?

It looks like the bolt holes for attaching it to the fan clutch have a larger spacing on the v8 fan blade.

I wonder, would a V8 fan clutch fit, allowing use of the metal fan?
