I'm posting this as I believe that it might be helpful to others.

I still haven't found my vacuum leak

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you...I traced out the vacuum lines. found one wrong hose and a bad EGR solenoid. It is purring like a kitty now. I don't think it ran this good when I bought it.

I just want to send out a BIG thank you for the assistance. directly and indirectly there is a lot of info on this site.
