When I turn off the engine, I hear a vacuum hiss from the passenger side engine compartment that sounds like a vacuum leak and the vacuum lines 'depressurizing' as the sound slowly dissipates.

Do you guys have this to? I wanted to check and see if this was normal before I spent a few hours 'chasing ghost' in the engine compartment.

*I have changed the check valve once about a year ago.

It's more than likely the AC system. All of the vehicles I drive do this, so there should be no concerns. If it helps alleviate your concerns, drive with the AC off for a few minutes before you shut the car off, and see if the hissing is still there when you stop.

Good plan! I'll try that
