I have a 98 4.0 SOHC and the idle is really rough at times.
I have been tracing the vacuum lines and checking for bad connections. There is a large line (5/8" dia.) that goes from just behind the MAF to a tee that connects just below the IAC and then goes below the drivers side upper intake manifold and looks like it dead ends just at the rear of the engine and is plugged. Someone before me owning this truck tied this tube up with string (at least it doesn't look like factory string to me
Can anybody tell me if this is normal or where this line is supposed to go?
