I just took the intake manifold off, or at least I am guessing that it was the intake manifold, has the IAC mounted on it and I guess the 'vacuum tree' in the back. I was wondering, I removed and labeled all of the hoses that I took off so I would know where they go but I have no idea what their function is. There are two with what looks like a small copper wire in them. Also, there is one flexible hose that goes to a small metal tube that extends down the firewall to somewhere around the transmission/oil pan. Can anyone shed some light on what these are? Thanks guys.

The one that runs down to the transmission is for the modulator valve which governs when the transmission shifts. It judges how hard the engine is running to tell it to shift at later speeds when you have your foot on the gas or at a lower speed on light acceleration

I have no idea about the other vacuum lines
