My brake light comes on then the rear anti lock brake light comes on when i pull away from a stop sign all go off and stay off until I let off the gas then once in awhile the brake light will come on again and the arbs less often sometimes not at all also engine seems to lope alittle at idle but fine at all other speeds more pronounced when cold gas mileage has taken a bit of a hit also. any ideas possibly a vacuum problem?

Low fluid could be tripping a level sensor in the master brake reservoir. Check fluid level. If unsure, add a LITTLE bit of fluid and see if it influences behavior. Don't just top it off, it will make a mess at brake change.

The ABS has a G sensor, if you are having weirdness relating to acceleration, it might be suspect. The easiest deal here is to read out the ABS codes. There is a sticky thread for that. You are talking about rear anti-lock, is this 2WD or 4WD?

The only brake vacuum relationship is the brake booster and I am having trouble connecting the symptoms to the booster.

You can check the rubber gromet in the brake booster. It degrades over time. It is easy to replace. Harder to find, try the help isle at the parts store.
