I noticed that the hoses connected to the vapor management valve on my 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0L V6 are deteriorating really bad. On my vehicle this valve is located on the drivers side under the hood. While I was at Ford I asked about getting replacement hoses and they wanted $180 for the set (includes 3 hoses and the brackets). Does anyone know if I can just use straight fuel line to replace these? Are the factory hoses pre-bent? I am guessing I can transfer the heatshields to the replacement hoses.
