- 2013 PIU 3.7 NA
2013 PIU, 94K, well maintained. Synthetic oil.
I had planned on doing my plugs and PCV before winter, so since the manifold is off, why not address my VCT seal leak too. Also called a VVT (variable valve timing) it seems. Also, since I have the valve cover off, is there any advantage to replacing the VCT's since I have easy access? I haven't had any issues with them that I'm aware of, unless they have a tendency to wear out over time. Nearing the 100k mark and I don't know the interval of what can 'go' on the 3.7 just yet. Would I be looking at replacing the VCT's in the near future anyway? Should I replace the plug seals too? Obviously, I'd do a new valve cover gasket and dots of RTV in the relevant locations. I prefer to do preventive maintenance if I work on anything remotely involved.
Plug seals (3 per cover): BR3Z-6C535-B
VCT seals: (2 per cover): BR3Z-6C535-A
Valve cover gasket: BR3Z-6584-C
VCTs: AT4Z-6M280-B (gray one) & AT4Z-6M280-A (black one)
Thanks in advance!
