Have 97 sport 5 spd manual, auto 4wd.It drove fine this morning, four hours later after sitting in my driveway a vibration started around 30 mph in the front end.Rotated the tires, but the vibration still there. No howling noise or grinding.Starts at 30 mph ,stops when under 30.Front driveshaft u joint feels tight" no slop"or up and down movement, all the wheel weights are there.Feel it in the steering wheel and floor, seats, dash. Can hubs go that fast and without any kind of warning? And both at the same time?

i have the exact same problem, i have replaced hub two times, rotated tires several times with no luck. I heard that there are bearings right in the front end axel that can do this? I think this will be my next step. Please keep me informed if you figure it out.

Found the problem! The front bolts on the rear driveshaft came loose!Don't know how cause its been 4 years since the driveshaft been out.
I swear it felt like it was coming from the front end.Couple hours searching this fine web site came up with one thread about the rear transfer case bearing causing a vibration.I thought it was long shot ,but checked it anyway!Thats when I found the loose bolts. And as soon as I can get back on my feet,I paying to become an elite member!Site is well worth it!
