Hi All;
I've got my '05 Sport Trac; just over 200k miles. Recently it's started having a significant vibration that I notice when at a stop light. But if I put it into N or PARK the vibration goes away; back in Drive or Reverse and vibrates again. I only notice it at stop lights coz; well while driving there is too much other noise & such. lol So don't know if it still vibrates while driving is my point.
Seems worse after it warms up - when I first get into it in the morning I don't notice it as bad.
Any thoughts? Someone suggested the Throttle Body could be causing this; but I don't see how? I did run a can of Sea Foam through the inlet about 10k miles ago. Plugs n wires are all newer (15k miles ago).
It's hard for me to troubleshoot alone as I need someone to keep a foot on the brake. Suppose I could put a brick in front of the tire; put it in D and then pop the hood to check the throttle body - but I suspect my next post would be asking how to put truck in reverse while trapped between grill and garage wall...
