Videos from Anual Ca. Camping trip

I just got back (ok.. last Friday) from my anual camping trip (that makes 12 years, with only 1 missed)..

This year we spent 3 days in Painted Canyon (near Truckhaven) and then 3 days in Glamis (the dunes).

I'll post videos as I get them converted....

This is video of me going back/forth across some somewhat rough area, just trying to get a feel for the X. (This was in Painted Canyon)

This is video from Glamis, on Oldsmobile hill. The x was doing very well out there, but I only got video from my first outing to Olsmobile. Once I got the hang of things I was able to go up the center part of Oldsmobile also.

Thats it for now.. more tomorrow..

Cool vid Mark

Thoes dunes look cool!

That looks like a lot of fun. It's rare that I get to go offroad and comfortably go fast.

I got another couple videos converted...

this is of the flash flood that happened while we were camping. It rained for more than 1 full day.

I know this isn't any big wall of water, but I've never seen a flash flood before. The water is running down the dirt road you use to get into Painted Canyon.

This video is of the explorer heading over a hill (not sure what to call it) that has a turn at the crest with walls on each side.. The video is from the 2nd time I went across it (The first time, I put in a small dent on the passenger side of the truck)..

btw.. you can hear the 2.5" + high flow cat+ cheap "turbo" muffler.

Video of a friend and his daughter coming down "Oldsmobile Hill" in Glamis, and her riding the atc (just a kinda cute video)

Wow. That's really cool looking.

Did you check to see if maybe it was beer?

Maniak,
I was out there 2 Sundays ago driving around painted canyon and Mecca hills when it was raining. It was pretty cool to see the waterfalls the rain created as they came down the canyon walls. I got a little lost driving around Mecca hills and ended up on the north shore of Salton Sea...lol. I didn't mind, I was bored that Sunday and was itchin to do some kind of wheelin.

That flash flood video is awesome...and it looks like beer, that makes it much cooler.
