VW Question

I friend of mine is looking for a GTi and he was wondering what motor will be better for mods, the 1.8t or the vr6 as far as bolt on mods what motor will respond better from them?

a buddy of mine say's he had a gti with the vr6 and he put a turbo on it he sold the car @ a year or two ago itis the car he misses the most i hope this hellp's.

if you have the time just start looking for vw sights we all know how helpfull this one is!

The 1.8T responds better to simple bolt-ons and there are more available. I have the VR6 and it's a great motor and a bit better off the line, but not too mod friendly besides intake and exhaust, and maybe a chip (if he wants to risk voiding the warranty).

If he's planning on a lot of motor work though, go with the VR6 and a supercharger.

Just a note: a friend of mine has a 1.8T Passat that can beat Vipers all day long
