Walbro GSS340 install

Can anyone who installed a gss340 send me some pictures of how they did it?

The stupid plastic 'fuel pump box' is confusing the **** out of me. The fuel is drawn through a sock, into a vertical 'straw' up into the black plastic piece under the hat of the box where the fuel lines slide in, and seemingly the fuel is drawn into the output of the pump.. It makes no sense at all. I had imagined the pump with the sock on the bottom right in the gas sucking on fuel, squirting out the top....

1996 v8 usa build

The truck is stuck on a lift in the Shop on base. I am overseas military, and parts availability is rough. The shop doesn't open till Wednesday 1330 local... I have to have it driving by Wednesday night to drive to Frankfurt Thursday morning.
Any help would be VERY much appreciated.

on mine i cut the bottom out of the plastic box and used a sock then i went from the pump to the pickup tube with rubber high pressure hose worked for me
