Has anyone had a big problem with warped rotors? I have 68,000 miles on my explorer and I am going onto my 4th set. I live on a dirt road and I suspect thats the cause of it.

I replace my rotors every 12 months because they are warped. After 185,000 miles its the only maintenance I really have to do besides the obvious stuff so I don't complain too much.

If you replace them with Ford rotors, or the cheepie $20 ones, you will have problems. My original Ford ones were so warped after 30k of easy driving, they could not be ground. Ford refused to replace them under warranty. The service dept insisted I buy new ford ones, saying there is nothing like original Ford parts. You got that right! If the originals lasted only 30k, why would I buy them again?

I got Powerstops for the less $$. After 40k, they are still straight & true.
