I went to my local 4x4 outfitter, and they told me they could supply me with the "Warrior greasable" shackles...

Is this the 'real' name for the shackle kit (WAR153)? They quoted me a price of $52.26. Does that sound reasonable?

Thanks in Advance,

Jordan23

Unless warrior changed their design then it is not a greasable shackle. The Part# is WAR-153.

Thanks for the quick response! I just spoke to another gentleman there when I placed my order. I asked specifically about the 'greasable' part and he stated that they WERE NOT greasable shackles. So I'm sure I've got the correct part.

:D

...one week to wait...

Warrior

Well, good luck in actually getting them!! I put in my request to my local perforance shop over 3 weeks ago and they're still not in. After many phone calls, I'm told that the supplier was out of stock, and they passed the request on to the factory... Still no shackles.. I'm gettin' a little discouraged here - Either I'm gettin' fed a "line", or they're getting harder to come by..

Ottor...I'm just wondering if you've received your shackles yet...or anybody that's placed an order for them in the last week or 2...

Thx,

Jordan23

Found out that the shop didn't have any contract with Warrior and they were attempting to get them from an actual 'dealer' .... They ended up making me a pair, and I gotta tell ya' - they appear to be as well made if not stronger than the original Warriors ... As far as I know, if you go with an official Warrior dealer, there's no problem in getting them in just a couple of days..

I just got a call from J & L 4x4. My shackles are in. They'll be putting them on for me on Wednesday. Will I need to do any shock replacements or will I be fine with stock?

Thanks!

You will do fine with stock but let me tell you...if you want a DRAMATIC improvement in handling and body roll.....Replace the shocks with aftermarket.

Hey ssikora...how much was that body lift that you've got? It looks sweet! I'd like to do something like that with my Ex Sport. How much did it cost and is it possible for me to do it on a 2001 Ex Sport?

Thanks

Jordan23

I'm sure you can do it...the cost is very cheap..like $80. But it is a PITA so make sure you have a lot of good tools handy.

SSikora; you are one of the few people with the 2" B.L. versus the 3"; how do you like it? did you run into problems like a lot of those with the 3" did (steering extension, etc)? I am leaning towards the 2" and wondered if you regret not doing a 3"? Thanks. Jordan 23, too bad we couldn't get together and do both our trucks this Summer when I go up to WI for Summerfest;) I think I will have to wait a while though.:(

Sorta..but not really. I had no problems except getting the bolts out. Going the extra 1 inch might have helped...but I didnt want to have to screw around with the other issues. The 2" was a PITA enough.

You'll have to drop me a line when you get up here for Summerfest. I go EVERY year and have an absolute BLAST! I think Alphasylum lives in Milwaukee...we should look her up too...

Peace!

Welp...

I just got the Warrior shackles installed...and all I can say is...THANK YOU WARRIOR! The ride is now back to where it should be! Without measuring, I'd say I got at least 1". I'm carrying a heavy sub enclosure in the back, so who knows what it'd be like without that extra 150+ lbs back there!!

Thanks to everyone for their quick responses!

Peace,

Jordan23

how much are these war-153 shackles going for? I am looking to do that with a 1" TT and a 3" PA BL and run some 33s. One more questions. Do you guys think that 4.56s are to much, should I do 4.27. I do still need to get some kinda of mileage
