I just wanted to welcome everyone to something different then 4-wheeling.
As some of you know this year I got into bicycle riding & it sounds like others here are also into it so hopefully we can share stories & ideas and our goals.

I know it is a lot harder then pushing down on the skinny pedal, but when you top that hill or are able to do that hard section in the dirt it really does make you feel good.

Two years ago I started going to the gym & I've lost 55-60 pounds (I keep bouncing around:D) & believe it or not with working out at the gym it does make you feel better.

I wish I had the money for a personal trainer but I've just kind of watched other people & talked to others on things to do so hopefully there will be others here that can help those with questions.

Thanks Rick for the new forum & I hope everyone will have fun & get some good information by sharing.

Whoohoo!

So, your gonna move your century training diary here huh.

Easiest way to get your carbs is pasta and legumes are good for protien. The drawback of pasta is, its basically sugar as far as your body is concerned, last a little longer but...

I still think you'll do a citizens race this year. They're usually about 20 miles for a road/circuit race or 20 minutes for a crit. You could also do a time trial if you're uncomfortable being elbow to elbow with bunch of kids. But then they're fun to play mind games with:cool:

:biggthump Cool, glad we got a new forum for it. Maybe you could move the bike threads over to here. I know there a couple of old weight lifting threads around some where too.
Perry it's good to read you lost so much weight. Keep it up.

You know what might be good in here?

A "what's for dinner tonight" thread-

1-it might help create a "healthy eating" peer pressure group

2-it could be good for ideas

We normally don't eat "healthy" stuff because I haven't yet trained myself how to prepare it to taste good.
We might eat a healthier diet-if I had ideas for healthier food:D

My problem is, some one has to cook it.

I work 10hrs/day and the wife works part time and 2-3 evenings per week. The kid isn't old enough to cook yet and if he was, all we'd eat is chicken nuggets:rolleyes:

Wow, awesome. Lifting is one of my "things". I'm currently trying to cut my body fat in anticipation of summer. :D

Someone PM Jake, I think he's into bodybuilding.
