anyone interested in going to wharton state park or site x which is actually forked river mountain club for a run in mid august?ive been itchin to go since i havent been offroadin since april..if any1 is interested let me know

yea man ive been working between 40 and 50 hours lately so i havent been on here in a while.... had to replace the front seal on my transmission so the breathers had to come off they were in the way just havent put them back on yet and i need to get my truck on a lift to put them on its a pita to do on the ground and i just have to find a time where i can put it on the lift at work

yeah i hear ya,i do 60+ hrs a week,and thats with 2 days off,i got rid of my explorer (stupid move )it needed too much work for me to do,the whole steering system went,and it wasnt running right after i replaced the fuel pump and filter,so i bought a 95 jeep just til i find another 1st gen explorer 4x4 4dr,gotta save up a little money though,i just got back from vacation last week,so in a few months ill have my next explorer

yea im looking to get rid of mine its starting to get annoying to work on it all the time so i might look into what jay did and get a focus hatch and maybe a little bit down the road find a jeep or something to wrench on on the side

jeeps are good,but id rather have an explorer,i got a 4 door cherokee,and my 4dr explorer had so much more room in it,only good thing about the jeeps,they all have solid axle's in the front,i have a dana 35 in the rear(thats the one they use in the fronts on the 1st gen explorers) and a dana 30 in the front,i just gotta get my floor fixed before i go,already quoted 125 to fix it

cool if u want a common mod for that jeep they take the ford 8.8 out of rangers/explorers and put them in the back of the cherokees and its a better rear supposedly

the ford 8.8 is alot better rear,but i dont have the time or the $$ to do that swap yet

i just talked to rich(version0069)he said he might make this run,his 4wd is still acting up,i got it workin for him again,but its making a loud clickin noise from the left front side,but me and him and a few others went offroadin a few times,if i can find a cheap ford 8.8 ill do the swap,ill check the yards tomorrow and see what there prices are,theres alot of u-pull-it yards near me

ok..august 17th,24th, or 31st??there all sundays,i cant do saturdays,i go into work at 6 on saturdays and get done around 3..sundays,i can always take the casino delivery in my truck and drive to wharton on the way back or site x

I may b able to make it. Ill prolly have to extend all my breathers b4 tho. What are the trails like at site x? I don't really want any carnage just a lil mud on the tires n a good time.

site x has some good trails,some of them are tight to fit down,nothing major at all,its a good time though..wharton has the really good trails,some nice mud holes that i even had water come over my hood when i had my explorer,my breathers are already extended,they were from the factory,one guy gave me a good idea though,he extended his to inside his truck so no water got in them,i might do that,my breathers are extended to my firewall,except the one for the rear

if we goto wharton,you'd fit,site x you can fit down most,there was some that we found,dont even know how we found them but they were tight,wharton is nice and wide,for the most part,very few tight trails there
