No no, what I meant is I have yet to get stuck enough to need it... well except the one time I got stuck in the mud and I was kind of in a hurry to get out and there was nothing to winch to, LOL.

Problems with Photopoint

Well I have numerous unsuccesful attempts to upload the photos from Saturday. I use the quick upload and it says the photos have been submitted for processing. They never appear in the incoming album because it says that they are not a photo... but they are and it works fine on my computer! Has anyone had this problem?

Anyway, To give a little better picture of Scott's stuck, his Explorer was at about a 30 degree angle and could have slid down the hill into numerous trees. Considering the numerous attempts it took us and some of the methods he was really stuck.

Brian,

Do the pics have an extension on them? I've posted jpegs and gifs and they've all worked fine. Make sure the files have .gif or .jpg.

E-mail me the photo's and I will post them here.

CBourgeois@pria.com

Mail them to me anyways, and I will create a Photo Album on Photopoint. And then I will just Reply with the address of the Photopoint Album.

Brian,

Photopoint likes filenames with no spaces and under about a dozen letters.

Photopoint identifies and remembers your computer address when you open an account. If you open an account at your home computer, and then try to upload photos through another computer (at work, or at a friends, etc) you have to click on Help to learn how to upload photos from another computer. There are instructions in Photopoint Help to assist you and instruct how to email the photo offering using your email address as an account code in the heading of the email sent to Photopoint.

Try that, or do your uploads from your original computer you set the account up from.

Hope that helped.

WOW! Miss that kinda stuck!

Good pics. You got some good ones! We used to watch people get stuck like that here in VA...but we haven't been in so long I had almost forgotten the fun! Looks like you had an interesting day.

Last time we were fourwheelin we came upon a mercedes military vehicle from 1963 or something. He brought his rig down our way from MD to try out our trails and hit a really nasty hole...got stuck for a while then got out. Well, we went home and my fiance got an itch while I was out and went down there again the next day. Guess what? The guy was stuck on a hill, with mud every where (which told us he had been really really stuck after we left), and apparently took in some water and some other bad stuff. His buddies all had to go back to work the next day and it took us calling a friend with a dodge dualie HUGE truck pull him up the hill and out of the trails. Now that was fun! That guy was lucky cuz our friend DIDn't want to take his truck in there (nasty nasty stuff and some narrow trails) and the tow companies that would even come out wanted a minimum of 900.00!

Those are the memories boy...I bet you all will never forget your trip!
