What brake light bulbs should I get for my truck now I have gotten clear tail lights? I have got some LED's that came with the clears, but they are just not bright enough? I need something that people can actually see? What do people use?

You have LEDs and can't see them!?! I don't think you can get any brighter then LEDs. I guess it depends on the brand though. Whats the brand of the bulbs???

I have Catz. Very bright in the day and you can't tell I have clear lenses at night. The part # is HS-3157R or look here LEDs

You will need a new load flasher though with these. Napa or somewhere like that has them for like $5. Also I'm not to sure you can order from that site so just e-mail them and tell them what you got and what you need.

Will a new flasher make the lights brighter? Right now some APC red bulbs I'm using are much brighter then the LEDS, but still not bright enough. Could that be the problem I'm having.. or am I just way off and the LEDs just suck.

It won't make it brighter. Its so they blink with the blinker. With out a new flasher they just stay solid when you use your blinker. I would say go get those Catz like mine. The package says "Super Bright LEDs". In the day they look like bright dots in the tail light. At night they look like normal tail lights. See heres a pic in the evening time with a super flash on the camera and the tails still showed up.

hmmm... but is a bright dot really noticeable in the daytime, does it fill the chamber or is just simply a small dot in the middle? The LEDs I have don’t fill anything; there just simply a dot and I know me as a driver would probably be less likely to see someone braking that way. The bulb seems to do a much better job of filling the entire chamber during the day.

I plan on using a 6" piece of Neon for a tail light and a LED for the break light. Just go to Autozone, Pep boys what ever you have arround like that and see what they have for that application. Dril a small hole and use silicon to hold it in place and then fill the hole. That way you fill the entire light and have bright break lights.

It is a dot, probably a good 2"x2". I'm always told by people that they appreciate what I did to make my illegal clear lenses look better then legal lenses.

Have you seen the Altelzas??? You know how they use round circles?? Mine are at least that bright or brighter during the day.
