What did YOU do to your Explorer today?

Yeah it is a second stock cooler. I have a 93 explorer for parts. Here is a quick pick looking down on the 2. You can see the white nylon spacers that I put the longer bolts through.

Maintenance
Oil change: Mobil 1 & Wix 51515

Transmission fluid change: Valvoline Maxlife, Lubegard additive & flushed coolers with Lubegard flush in a can. Napa filter & gasket, valve body bolt torque (nothing changed there, all good). Reverse servo needed tightening and my delayed reverse is gone. Installed a Dorman pan with drain plug.

I'll be soldering a drain plug into my old pan along with a temp sensor threaded fitting. I still have 5 Explorers so it will get used somewhere!

Power steering fluid change with Maxlife synthetic ATF.

This one will get a severe duty fan clutch & 2nd gen fan soon. Cooling system got flushed last week & 60/40 antifreeze mix.

Erg dang bulbs now my 4 high light decides oh I'm not going to work. Oh well. I like the 93‐94 switch in there cause the buttons actually light up when you have runners on. Man can't wait to get my overhead console put in

Made a bracket and installed the ScanGauge II
Currently showing coolant temp., Transmission Temp, voltage, and well, MPG is obvious

Installed GT500 cover and changed fluid. First change @ 50k, now 105k. No shimmering or shiney stuff, and added bonus-- not much smell! There is a fin on inside of cover that needs grinding off for clearance of ABS toner ring. Noticed leaky driver side shock Gabriel overload time.

Forgot to say thanks for letting the ******* stepchild post on the first gen specific forum. Miss my 94 XLT (traded in), but still read the ol pages.

How do you like the ride/handling?
BIG improvement, driver side stocker was leaking, and was dead so anything would have been better.
Rear feels so much more stable. Right off the bat they made it obvious the fronts had to go, and received Bilsteins yesterday.
Plan to install today.

Nice, where do you get the bilstein shocks from?

Just had to put a little more $ in Jeff Bezos' pocket, and 2 days later there they are...
