Well, I've been a part-time Frito Lay "detailer" since November 2016. All I did was go into two grocery stores, and one convenience store, to work stock that was delivered by the route person. Work stock and face things up.
Back in April 2016, when I applied for the route position, a local railroader got it. He put in his notice he was going back to the railroad, and his last day was April 6, 2018. His route is being taken by another local Frito Lay route person, but their route was now open, and Frito Lay offered the position to me, pending an online test, and drug test. Passed those.
So, April 9th was my first day of training with a local route person. I'll train with him for two weeks, goto Denver for some training for one week, then train for two weeks on the route I'll be taking. Then I'm officially on.
Two negative things though.
Commute is 37 miles one way
I have to deliver twice a week at like 1 or 2 in the morning for the big box discount store to be off the sales floor by 8am
