What happened..

So, here's what happened. The old server died late Sep 10th.

We finally figured out on the 14th, we need to replace the ISP, due to lack of service (they have no one near the datacenter).

explorerforum has moved to a new, different ISP, and now we use the Cloudflare service to speed things up.

DNS changes are currently propagating, and more DNS changes will be coming with no impact once the old DNS clears out.

If you are still having problems, please post/notify us either here or via PM.

Things changed for the worse at the old ISP. When I started with them it was owned by a friend of mine. Unfortunately it's been sold twice since.

Not sure if this is related to the search issue or even to the new server switch, but none of the links in the gen1 best threads are working for me. Also the Jeff Singleton reference link won’t work for me.

Thanks for all you do @Rick . I can imagine it's a big job to deal with when things are amiss. I noticed it so I thought I would mention. I'm glad that you haven't had to make us all Elite Users.

We have a small problem, and some of you have already noticed.

About 50 attachments are missing, because they was posted after the last backup, and before the server crashed. We have no access to the old system/hardware/disks, so, those attachments are simply gone. The time range is from about 2am/EST on Sep 10th, to the time the server crashed and burned, which appears to be several hours.

We apologize for the lost, there is nothing we can do to recover these attachments.

I am still working on getting the enhanced search back online.

I'm still getting "Corrupted Content" error trying to access the site on Firefox v54.0.1 x64. Please don't tell me to update my browser, it works fine everywhere else and I have extensive mods to it... not gonna happen. It worked fine to access the site until recently.

This Corrupted Content error only happens on first access of the day, opening a closed browser. I have cleared the browser cache and did a hard page refresh with no difference. I mean it does load the page without the error on the hard refresh, same as it would load the page again on a subsequent access without the hard refresh but then the next day, again the Corrupted Content error is back again.

I do not recall if this started happening around Sept 17th or not. I'm leaning towards no, that it came after that, but time flies, maybe it really has been that long.

I also run Firefox and I have never seen the error. You are the first to report it.
