I have a 2007 Mountaineer AWD V6 Premier.
Sometimes... often, not always... when I turn it on and go from Park to Reverse, there is a hesitation and then she slams into gear. I get jerked back and the vehicle acts a bit as though I had managed to drop the clutch as if i had a manual transmission.
This is a bit scary and I'd like not to just dump the transmission right in my driveway or some such.
Any ideas?
