So far have the fuel tank straps and tank guard removed, but from here,I need some info as to what to disconnect next as far getting the fuel tank to drop down so I can see what fuel pump my 95' Explorer Sport needs.

Any info greatly appreciated!

disconnect the fuel filler hose and vent line from the back of the tank (access through rear wheel well)
drop the tank down a bit and disco the fuel lines and wiring harness.

thats it, then put the tank on the ground and remove the fuel pump lock ring using a piece of wood and rubber mallet (no sparks)

its a good idea to cover the hoses in the tank with tape right now while you replace the in tank unit.

sound really cool have fun

be sure to disconnect any wiring

I'd also disconnect the battery, if you haven't done it already. You don't want any, I repeat ANY chance of sparks.
