2003 Sport Utility XLT 4D
I was under the hood of my 02 Explorer 4.0 and noticed this part. I am not a mechanic by no means but I can fix things if directed in the proper direction. It appears to be melted and looks as though it should be bolted to something but it isn't. I appreciate all help in advance.

It monitors & controls the vacuum flow to the EGR valve. Do you see a hose going into the EGR valve? They get ruined when there's moisture in the lines. Do you remember the MAP sensor on the older 3.0L engines? That's was used before the DPFE sensor started to be used on the 4.0L engines.
