Just wondering what others are getting for fuel economy with your 3rd gens.
Here are what mine look like.
'02 Eddie Bauer 4x4 163,000 miles 4.0 L V6 3.73 gears (non Flex fuel) 18 City 24 Fwy
'03 Eddie Bauer 4x4 103,000 miles 4.0 L V6 3.55 gears (Flex fuel) 13 City 17 Fwy (Lemon?)
NOTE: (Flex fuel) indicates that the truck has the package, however I always run premium in all of my vehichles, never the flex fuel (I don't even know where you could buy it anyways).
UPDATE: Changed the oil in the '03 EB to Valvoline full synthetic, put new tires on it and did a road trip (Colorado to the west coast and back, mostly on I-80). Using premium fuel all the way, the mileage read 20.3 mpg when I got back, which includes freeway miles to and from plus any city driving I did during the trip. It now also seems to be getting around 16.3 mpg in town (reset and averaged over 1 month strictly town driving). Maybe I will keep it after all.
