what the hell are the size speakers in front doors in 2001 sport?

does anyone know the correct size speakers for front doors for a 2001 sport because i have seen 6x8 and 4". i could have sworn all were 6x8 also whats the depth?

the stock size uses 6X8 (5X7). but you can use 6X8 plates which have a 4" woofer and 1" tweeter. or you can install 5.25" or 6.5" speakers.

thanks for the reply. i know i can get adapter plates to fit 5.25 components but i didnt know i can fit 6.5.

6.5's may take a little trimming and muscle, and you've gotta watch the depth, but they can work.
